What is routed plastic (hdpe)?

This cost effective material will save buyers money over time by lowering long-term maintenance and replacement costs. What does routed mean? How is a sign made?

The plastic is laminated into sheets which consists of 2 outer layers of the same color and one inner layer of a contrasting color. When the top layer is routed (or carved) away into the middle layer the contrasting color is exposed. If part of a sign is background routed, it means that the area around an object or letter is routed away exposing a raised letter or image. All signs are routed by computer technology or cnc routers.

What sizes of material and signs are available?

Our largest sheet sizes are 48" x 96 " for all colors except brown-yellowcream-brown (60" x 120"). Our sign sizes are not limited to our sheet sizes. We are capable of building large signs that contain two or more panels.
HDPE plastic sign panels and blanks can be ordered and cut to specific sizes.
The thickness of the sign can be 3/4", 1/2" or 1/4" depending on the size of the sign and the color selected. Please be sure to check our color combination chart to see
